Brief Close-Up
As your odd, eccentric webmistress, Nyx is what many call an oddball. Armed with a borderline obsessive fetish regarding wings (don't ask) and equipped with her stick of doom, her primary goals in life include gaining knowledge (for "knowledge is power", as put by a sage teacher of hers), becoming an overall better writer, honing her graphic-design skills to the best of her ability, and the like. Her greatest goal of all time? Perhaps that is better left unsaid. (And this is said for the sake of maintaining a, however dubious, somewhat enigmatic guise of mystery.)
Not the sharpest kunai in the pouch, Nyx is your typical (or perhaps not so typical) girl. Like the many others of the female populace, she has the unfortunate tendency of fussing over minor details. Some more original traits of her multi-faceted personality include a healthy dose of stereotypical emo-ness (as corny and idiotic as it sounds), her fascination with the truths of reality, and other related topics. Procrastination is this girl's best frienemy, so she tries her best to keep it at bay. Moving along, Nyx's interests include listening to music, playing the piano, playing the violin, reading, writing, forum roleplaying, playing video games, and being generally lazy.
Often times, one will find her snoozing randomly in the most bizarre spots. Such spots include on the bus (despite deafening noise), on her desk with her head against the computer and a line of M's and spaces running along Microsoft Word, curled up in a ball in her chair, on the sofa in front of the TV while playing a video game with her controller abandoned (and the screen flashing "Game Over" due to her falling asleep during a battle), etc. Oddly, despite her supposed laziness, this fellow graphic-designer enjoys swimming, ice skating, skiing, and occasionally even basketball.
Nevertheless, despite her odd quirks, Nyx is a mostly easygoing person with a slight split-personality problem. Some hours find her bouncing happily and screeching incomprehensible words of "wisdom" as she flails her arms about with a fair amount of stupidity. Rarer hours find her sugar-high to the point of no return. Other hours find her silent, quiet, and somber, tending to keep to herself as much as possible and simply remain within the confines of her mind. Despite this all, in any case, Nyx is easily irritable when she is in an "inspiration" phase, one where she has been super-charged to overdrive with inspiration. At these moments, piss her off and she will seriously maul you in the worst ways possible simply to rid the world of her current irritation. And that isn't even the end of it.
