Long time no update, eh?

School's almost over. I'm half-excited, half-sad for unknown reasons. All I have to worry about is that United Nations thing my social studies class is doing. >__> Imma fail, and I can't do much about it. Hmph.

Anyway, as for Betwyxt, I've added one story. It's called "Monochromatic," and, by far, it is one of my greatest pieces. I hold this story dear in my heart, so don't be surprised if I get annoyed at particularly harsh comments on it and, especially, if I receive flames.

There's an angsty feel to the story, but an underlying horror that dominates it even more than the surface angst. Look for the implications, the clues, the hints -- and you'll find darker themes that make it beyond PG-13. But since said hints are so ambiguous and very nearly obscure, I'm keeping the rating at PG-13. The summary, which is actually an excerpt, is as follows:

"It’s monochromatic, that painting. Such a lovely, wonderful monochrome. It’s just one color, and it’s black, just like the rest of her darkening feelings. Just like the rest of the feelings that are fading from neglected rainbow to vindictive abyss."

I will be launching a serious project soon. After I finish some planning and get the details and general plotline down, I will begin writing a chaptered story that I will attempt to finish. It will be rated R for dark themes, and it will hopefully be an epic. I don't know, but I'm working on it. I'll work on this story a LOT during summer vacation. For now, the title will not yet be released, primarily because I'm still in the process of thinking it up.

Also, during the summer, I will be open to requests. If you want a specific story done, you may request. I might write the story for you. I can a writer for others, so don't be afraid to ask. The worst I'll do is say that I can't write the story.

School's stressful. But then again, what with me procrastinating in just about every possible subject, it's inevitably stressful. Especially when you're putting off a research paper, triboard, experiment, studying, and think you've failed your -- really easy -- French quiz/test thingy.

But back to Betwyxt.

Because of difficulties regarding the old shoutbox, the shoutbox thingy has been replaced with a new shoutbox thingy (yeah, yeah, to hell with unneeded repetition) called the "Cbox." I don't really know how it works, but I've seen it on numerous websites before. I think I've actually used it long, long time ago for an old website that doesn't exist anymore, but I dunno.

Have fun with the Cbox, and keep things appropriate. And my apologies for the lack of serious updates involving actual content.

I'm tired, so I'm going to end this update now. Playing DDR on Expert level tends to exhaust people. Especially if one plays it for at least an hour.

I'm tired. And stressed.

But anyway, I've managed to add a nifty new feature to Betwyxt. Enter Haloscan, my greatest weapon of mass destruc--erm, I mean commenting. Or lemme rephrase that. Meet Haloscan, a nifty tool that allows people to comment on my works and posts. Namely, I've attached it to the pages where my writings are. For instance, clicking "Trapped Soul" in the Writings page would lead you to the in-depth page of said story. On the aforementioned page is the tool I speak of. It allows visitors to rate and comment on my stories. Feel free to check it out here.

Note: Do not, under any circumstance, spam the comment page. It is for serious comments and critiques alone, and if I encounter anything else as I check over Betwyxt, I will ban IPs. Don't make me resort to said drastic measures. And, please, when rating, give your honest opinion.

Yay; I'm actually updating. Scary, isn't it?

Because my SmartFTP (the program I use to edit Betwyxt) is basically dysfunctional for some unknown reason, I've reverted back to using the standard way of editing websites... by logging in at the host website and using file managers on said host website and whatnot to edit. >__> It's tedious, and I sure as heck prefer my beloved FTP, but this seems to be the only way to edit Betwyxt.

So, since I'm back, the hiatus is off. Whee~!

Anyway, as for the update; I've added a story that I've written... more than a year ago. It's an old story that barely matches my current writing style, so don't be surprised if it differs greatly from future stories. No, I did not steal it. >__> How dare you.

The spotlight quote has also been changed: the sentence is now an excerpt from the story I've added, which is named "Trapped Soul." Because it's a horror story, I advise weak-hearted people who are easily frightened to refrain from reading it. Keep in mind it's also PG-13.

And that's about all. I'll probably add some more stuff soon; I have a lot of stories saved on my computer.

As I alternate between feelings of numbness, indifference, despondency, and simple exhaustion, I will be as rant-happy (y'know... trigger-happy... rant-happy... get it?) as ever and rant to you fellow readers/viewers/visitors/whomevers about my thoughts ;).

Now, as you can see, I haven't updated in a looong time. That was due to laziness on my part, as well as a severe case of writer's block. As you know, writer's block is every writer's worst enemy. Thus, I was unable to write anything much during the period of time ranging from the last post to this one, aside from two poems (one badly written to boot), some random forum roleplay character profiles that I will probably dispose of in the near future, and a couple of bad forum-roleplaying posts. Again: it's writer's block speaking, hence the "badness" and whatnot. >__>

In any case, I have tried to log in and get some more quotes and stories added in, but SmartFTP isn't working right now. For those of you who don't know, SmartFTP is my only means of editing Betwyxt. Thus, because my SmartFTP has apparently decided to become mean, I can't really do anything about editing Betwyxt itself. The only things I can do are post with Cutenews (y'know, these posts, which don't require SmartFTP to function) and post in the chatbox. And that's it. Heck, even some of the images appear to have been deleted somehow... The images that say "Main," "Www," "About," and etc. are apparently missing. I've even checked the URLs for them and they lead to dead links.

With all this insanity going on AND with my writer's block STILL pestering the hell out of my already-abused brain (c'mon, y'know it's been bashed one too many times already what with my running into walls and whatnot), it's unlikely that I'll slip any updates in for Betwyxt for quite some time. Until I figure out what's wrong with my SmartFTP and why it isn't working, I will not be adding anything new to Betwyxt. If SmartFTP seriously continues to refuse to work on my main computer, I may very well stop updating Betwyxt altogether until I can find another way to update. If worst comes to worst, I'll close down Betwyxt. (Yeah, I know . I happen to like Betwyxt, too.... despite the fact it's essentially empty of quality content.... -cough-)

So, moral of the story: Betwyxt'll be on a temporary hiatus. You no like? Well, tough luck. Deal with it.
